BRE Academy have developed a number of education courses specifically focused around supporting the adoption of BIM from an international perspective, developing their educational offering around existing and in development international (ISO) standards.
The courses take into account the emerging international information management standard, buildingSMART International standards, internationally recognised good practice, and other international developments such as the open BIM initiatives formed to facilitate interoperability
This two day course provides you with a robust fundamental knowledge of BIM, which can be applied locally while still being consistent with the industry internationally.

- Module 4: Standards, Methods, and Procedures
- Module 5: Information Management
- Module 6: Project Lifecycle using BIM
- Module 7: Implementing BIM
The courses will be delivered by Paul Oakley who is a chartered Architect and a world leading expert in BIM. He heads the BIM Division in BRE where he is responsible for the technical delivery of the BRE Academy BIM training, the BIM certification schemes delivered under the BRE Certification mark and BIM research projects. Paul sits on the Board of BuildingSMART UK & Ireland and leads the operational activities for the chapter under the secretariat role provided by BRE.
